Contact exaly
Thank you for your interest in exaly. We welcome enquiries that help improve the platform and its usefulness to the research community.
Please read before emailing
exaly does not host personal profiles. Unlike profile-based sites, exaly is a research platform that analyses scholarly graphs. Articles are nodes; authors and other attributes are edges derived from public scholarly data. To protect research integrity, we do not make manual edits to individual records. Please do not request changes to your author page or to specific records (e.g. merge, split, add, remove, or edit). Note that authors are simply edges of the graph, similar to other features (e.g., manuscript length), and we cannot manually alter the graph, as you do not manipulate data in your research.
For common questions, see our FAQs.
What we welcome
- Platform issues: typos, broken links, mislabelled axes, incorrect table columns, layout or accessibility problems.
- Methodology and features: suggestions for additional analyses, metrics, or visualisations that would benefit users.
- Use cases: how you use exaly in teaching, research, evaluation, or product development.
- Research collaboration: proposals for studies, audits, or validation exercises aligned with bibliometrics and graph analysis.
- Media and institutional enquiries: press, institutional reviews, or partnership discussions.
- Responsible disclosure: security or data-quality issues affecting multiple pages or users.
If you think something is wrong
Please include enough detail for us to reproduce the issue:
- Page URL(s) and a one-line summary of the problem.
- What you expected to see and what you observed.
- Steps to reproduce, plus screenshots if helpful.
- Browser and version, device/OS, and date/time observed.
Data corrections to individual records
If a publication’s metadata is incorrect at the source, contact the publisher or relevant indexing service to request a correction. Once updated upstream, the change will appear in exaly after our next data refresh. We cannot action individual edit requests.
Response times
We read all messages and prioritise issues that affect reliability or many users. Due to limited capacity, we may not be able to reply to every email, especially if the answer is covered in the FAQs.

Tip: Add a clear subject, e.g. “[Bug] Wrong y-axis on Institution Trends” or “[Proposal] New co-authorship stability metric”. Please avoid sending personal data.
