Abstract

Whatever the trajectory of the ACA, health policy experts anticipate ongoing effort will be required to continue to improve US health care on several fronts. The major challenges include uncontrolled cost growth, widely documented idiosyncratic lapses in quality, and widespread difficulties with financial access to care. We will briefly summarize each of these current challenges below.
