Abstract
This chapter studies health literacy champions and their leadership. Recognizing the important role of health literacy champions for re-designing and re-orienting health systems towards people-centredness as the World Health Organization pledged to do, this chapter aims to explore how health literacy champions are characterized and nurtured as change-agents for the development of health literate organizations, settings and societies.
