Abstract

This chapter is focused on the importance of older people with arthritis remaining active. The chapter will discuss the benefits of optimising function and explain how older people can exercise safely and effectively. Advice on increasing activity following an injury or surgery will be covered. The chapter will also explain the role of the physiotherapist in promoting activity.
