How should I interpret the g-index?
The g-index gives extra weight to highly cited peer-reviewed articles: the top g peer-reviewed articles have at least g2 citations in total. It is more sensitive to outliers than the peer-reviewed h-index and helps distinguish influence concentrated in a few peer-reviewed articles. Compare within the same field and time window.
