  • Self-adjusted bimetallic zeolitic-imidazolate framework-derived hierarchical magnetic carbon composites as efficient adsorbent for optimizing drug contaminant removal

    2021, Chemosphere
    Citation Excerpt :

Also, the Co@NC-1/4-900 was etched by HCl (2 M) solution. After (Kersley and Palin, 1959) the acid etching, the (Li and Huang, 2011) magnetic property of Co@NC-1/4-900 disappears, and also the peaks corresponding to cobalt were not detected by PXRD measurement, which suggested the Co species are almost removed (Fig. S22). Importantly, the maximum adsorption capacity of ADQ on Co@NC-1/4-900 decreased from 890.23 to 173.07 mg g−1 after acid etched (Fig. 4e).

  • Can amodiaquine be used safely during pregnancy?

    2004, Lancet Infectious Diseases
    Citation Excerpt :

In 1957, fatal agranulocytosis was reported in a patient with discoid lupus treated for 8 weeks with camoquin (200 mg daily). Another patient developed jaundice, fever, and agranulocytosis, and died after 8 weeks of daily administration of 400 mg of amodiaquine.24,25 These three deaths occurred between 1957 and 1959 and deterred amodiaquine use as routine treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.5
